Here we have a Nikon snap on metal lens hood for the 35mm f/2.5 S-mount Nikon rangefinder lens. It is in perfect condition and comes in its original box. This set is quite rare.

The lens hood will prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by shading the outer element. It will also add some protection against impact or damage from accidental drops (though damaging a lens hood this rare would be just as painful as damaging a lens, I think).

This lens hood was specifically designed for the Nikon Nippon Kogaku 3.5cm F/2.5 prime lens for the Nikon rangefinder cameras (including the S2, SP, S3, etc). It also fits onto many other Nikon S mount lenses, including the 50mm F/1.4.
